On the edge of the forest stands an old factory named "Cans Catwijck" that has been producing animal feed for decades.

It was once a successful family business. The factory ran day and night, and the cans of pet food found their way to shops throughout the country. The old slogan still proudly adorns the facade:

Nothing Goes To Waste.”

But those glory days are long gone.

Over the years, dubious stories surrounding “Cans Catwijck” have piled up. Stories circulate about strange noises coming from the building at night, about trucks leaving the premises at unusual times, and about waste allegedly not being processed properly. Persistent protests and multiple lawsuits have generated increasingly negative publicity and caused trust in the factory to slowly erode.

The consequences are inevitable. Sales figures continue to decline year after year, suppliers refuse to deliver ingredients any longer, and former employees remain tight-lipped when asked about their time at the factory.

Eventually, the curtain falls, "Cans Catwijck" closes its doors, and production is completely halted.

Yet, even now that the factory has been closed for quite some time, cans of animal feed from Cans Catwijck still pop up here and there. No one seems to know exactly where they come from. Old stock? A forgotten storage facility? Or is production still taking place somewhere?

After the closure, the owner decides to offer the factory for sale in its entirety.

The factory has been for sale for some time now. However, the asking price is striking: it is remarkably low for a factory of this size.
