In the extraordinary world of Predator City, everything runs on steam-powered machines. Their latest technical inventions will finally give the city's ruling elite enough firepower to break the truce with other cities and wage an unnecessary steam war against its neighbors. Steampunk is a genre of fantasy or speculative fiction. The term refers to stories set in a time when steam power was still the primary source of energy (usually the 19th century), but which also contain elements of science fiction or fantasy, such as futuristic inventions and machines, or real-life machines (such as computers) that are invented much earlier in these stories than in reality. This genre also prefers metal over plastics.
