Professor Lipnitzki conducted research on the working of the brain. He made groundbreaking discoveries using animals in his research, but then reached a critical point that he could not pass. He decided that experiments on the human nervous system should enable him to break the deadock, but when he presented this idea at the university he met with a categorical refusal from the authorities. In addition, fearing the reputation of the university, his research grant was reduced and is work was closely supervised. When various chemicals began to disappear from the university, suspicion fell first on Professor Lipnitzki. However, the university could not do anything itself, so reported the matter to the police. Fearing that the doctor's controversial ideas would be leaked during the investigation, the university pulled a couple of strings in the police and forced the commander to undertake the whole investigation with the highest discretion and assigning young police officers who would do their job and nothing more.
